A design system is essential for creating a cohesive and consistent experience across digital products. It provides a set of standardized guidelines, components, and assets that ensure every part of the product looks and functions harmoniously.

The Metrópoles news website, one of the biggest in Brasil, with millions of daily users, had this need to implement a design system that could provide agility and smart guidelines to the entire team. With the purpose of adding new structures and pages, such as an 2024 World Cup section, results tool for the entire brazilian election and a culture/events agenda page for big cities such as São Paulo and Brasília.

As the news media space grows, the need of consumers change everyday, and for that reason this project was concieved, with a modern and organized look, as well as comprehensive and easy to use components.
